Indiana Wesleyan University was founded in 1920 by The Wesleyan Church with the intended purpose to train up the next generation of leaders for the church and society. It’s mission to develop students in character, scholarship, and leadership through a Christ-centered education remains true today. Realizing the importance of Financial Aid, IWU encourages the establishment of Wesleyan endowments through the generous donations from members of The Wesleyan Church.
"The Church Matching program has provided financial assistance to many students at IWU. Our church and district have participated in the Church Matching program which has enabled students to fulfill God's Calling on their lives. Through the support of donors and the prayers of the local church peope, students can attend IWU who otherwise may not have the resources."
