happening Saturday, March 13.

New Student Registration (NSR) is your chance to meet personally with an advisor from your
academic division to plan out your first semester of classes.
 
Your $200 tuition deposit must be submitted by March 7 in order to keep
your registration and to participate in the event.

This event is an opportunity to meet with a faculty advisor from your intended major in order to select your fall class schedule. Plan to log on and meet with some IWU representatives who will welcome you and connect you with an Academic Advisor. You will also have the opportunity to connect with at least one current student in this process! Don’t worry, the connections don’t stop at the end of this process – this is only the beginning of your Journey to Fall!

Then, locate your intended major (Select EXPLORATORY if unsure) and then select Sign Up for the Appointment and follow the instructions.

Once you have secured your registration time slot, you’ll need to keep the following in mind to ensure a trouble-free technical experience:

  • Make sure you locate your IWU issued Username and PIN and have that handy for the event.
  • Make sure you have a desktop or laptop computer with video capabilities (not a cell phone or tablet) to use on the 13th.
  • Finally, ensure that you are in a location with a strong internet connection that is capable of connecting you to an online video meeting.

You should plan to be available for a minimum of an hour after your sign-on time. We recommend clearing your schedule for the half-hour prior and an hour and a half after your scheduled sign-on time, just to ensure that we are able to take care of any needs you have on this day! Your actual advising appointment should take about 30 minutes, but there will be some pre and post items to cover. We will ask that you plan to log on about 10-15 minutes prior to the “sign-on” time you select. 

Example: If your sign-on time is 11 AM you should plan to log in about 10:45 and plan to be available until at least noon.

Absolutely!! In order to give you the most informed advising process possible, you are selecting a sign-on time for a specific academic division. Please make sure that you sign up for a time with the correct division. (Selecting your major should direct you to the correct calendar of appointments.) It is critical for this process that you select your sign-on time based on the correct division. (Do not select a preferred time with the wrong major!) If you are unsure of your major, select EXPLORATORY. We want this to be a smooth and excellent experience for you! 

Please notify the Admissions Office ASAP at adm.reg@indwes.edu or 765-677-6507. We will remove your initial advising appointment with the incorrect major and you will be able to select a new time with the correct new major. Please note that your sign-on time may be different based on availability in your newly declared major.
