Serving students in counties near IWU's Marion campus
Hello! My name is Spencer Hubbard, and I have the privilege of serving students in counties near IWU's Marion campus and in central Indiana. I graduated from IWU in 2015 with a degree in general studies with a focus on ministry and counseling. The students, the faculty and the community at IWU made a lasting impact on my life. I love being an admissions counselor because I get to be the first step in leading students through a meaningful and transformational college experience. I know the college search can be both exciting and overwhelming. Please let me know how I can best support and serve you!
The community. You can see/feel Christ surrounding you here. You can't help but grow. And you are equipped to bring that same experience to others when you leave.
Eating and building relationships! I had IWU's BIGGEST meal plan, so I ate three or four meals every day, and with a different friend each day. If I wasn't studying, or eating, I was grabbing McConn with someone new.
In a small way, I get to be involved in the transformational journey young adults embark on when they decide to go to college.
It's not hard to see that the staff and faculty at IWU care about their students. To them, this isn't just a job to pay bills, it's their calling and their ministry.
I'm inspired by seeing those who take bold steps in vulnerability, authenticity and humility. When people choose to be real, rather than pretending to have life all put together, I'm emboldened to do the same. And it's in that humility that we can really grow.
Playing/training with my dogs, riding my motorcycle, and joining others in whatever brings them to life.
Bust your chops now to get help paying for school. There are PLENTY of options out there. If you don't bust chops now, you'll have to bust even more chops later. Let me know how I can help!
