Serving guest students to IWU-Marion (audit, unclassified, and dual enrollment students).
My name is Evelyn Waymire and I have served in the IWU-Marion Admissions Office for 9+ years. Over that time, I have served both incoming freshmen and transfer students; I have also worked with guest students to the University and our dual enrollment students. It has been a joy to work with students at different phases of the college admissions process and to walk with them as they learn more about who God has created to them to be and how IWU can be part of their story.
I understand the college admissions process can be overwhelming and is full of the unknown for many students. It is a step of courage and bravery as they move away from home, establish a new community and begin to discern how God has equipped them and what He is calling them to. I also know that the season of life when a student embraces the college journey is one of the greatest adventures that a student will embark upon.
I look forward to joining you on that journey as you learn more about IWU and the next steps toward joining the Wildcat family!
My favorite thing about IWU is the genuine community on campus.
My favorite thing to do on campus is connect with students and to attend sporting events throughout the year.
I get the chance to serve students and their families as they explore the next step in their academic journey.
IWU is a special place because of its student, staff and faculty. The community at IWU is truly unique – embracing connection and providing a Christ-centered culture where students can grow in their faith and begin to become who God is calling them to be.
I am inspired by hearing other’s stories – hearing about journeys of courage, perseverance, and exploration. I love seeing how students live in boldness and embrace new adventures in faith.
My favorite hobbies include reading, baking and attending sporting events.
Love the journey and know that it is your unique journey. Don’t measure your progress or set your timeline for making a decision based on friend’s experience. Each student’s unique needs and desires for the college experience are different. Find a school where you can thrive – academically, spiritually, emotionally, etc.
