ENGAGING A COMPLEX WORLD WITH LOVE AND TRUTH
The IWU Criminal Justice major prepares students to become world changers by offering an integrated experience of intellectual challenge, spiritual growth and leadership development; equipping students for global engagement. As we send students into an increasingly complex and interconnected global landscape, understanding criminal justice and national security dynamics is more important than ever. When Jesus sent out the twelve disciples, he warned them that they would be “sheep among wolves,” and that they should therefore be shrewd, but also innocent (Matthew 10:16). “Shrewd but innocent” could be the mantra for what we hope to accomplish in the Criminal Justice Department.
IWU-Marion’s Bachelor of Science with a major in Criminal Justice is a residential program designed to open opportunities and positions of leadership to those desiring to serve their communities with love and truth. We serve students with interests in law enforcement, court services, corrections, military, intelligence services, or the private sector, as well as those seeking tracks in law, NGO, and other public service and advocacy sectors.
If you are excited about bringing a Christian worldview and values to meeting future challenges and opportunities in the criminal justice and national security field, then we encourage you to consider majoring in Criminal Justice at Indiana Wesleyan University.
