Question 6 Devotional or Discussion Guide

(Check out the Youtube video for this question)

Read Ephesians 6:10-20. What stands out to you in this passage?

In 6:10, what are ways you've found you can "stand strong" in the midst of spiritual adversity? How do Christians prepare (build strength) in advance for when such times may come?

In 6:11, references are made to Satan's schemes. Below are some examples from Ephesians of "spiritual Achilles' heels" or "besetting sins" that often plague Christians that are mentioned in this passage:

__Sexual impurity (4:19; 5:3, 5)
__Anger (4:26-27)
__Greed (4:19; 5:3, 5)
__Unwholesome talk (4:29; 5:4)
__Lying (4:25)
__Bitterness (4:31)

Are there any of the above that have been part of your family history or you find particularly challenging in your spiritual journey?

What are some of the "schemes" (methods) Satan uses in tempting believers to sin?

Re-read Ephesians 1:19 and 3:16, 20 - what do these verses say about God making us "strong"?

What are ways in which "spiritual friendships (such as accountability partnerships) can help you remain strong in the face of the Enemy's attacks?

This passage (6:14-17) describes the full armor of God. Which "piece of armor" do you especially feel you need to have in place in your spiritual life right now?

In your final focus for prayer use Ephesians 6:18-20 as a framework:

__Pray for God's people (especially those who may be defeated currently)
__Pray for a "fearless witness" from believers to those yet to know Christ.
