Do you tend to be private or open in what you share with others? To what kind of person are you confident in opening up?

Read Ephesians 4:17-5:20 (or if time is limited, focus on 5:8-20) - what stands out to you in this passage?

The video included a statement made in a small group that "we're as sick as we are secret." What is meant by this statement? Do you agree?

What are things that people hide or bury (5:12) that tend to come back to haunt them?

Do you have an accountability partner, a "spiritual friend" that helps you to "seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33)? If so, how has this partnership benefited your spiritual life? What qualities might a person look for in an accountability partner?

Are there some things that should be confessed only to God? What might be the benefits of confession to another person (James 5:16)?

Read Psalm 119:11. What are ways in which a person "hides" God's Word in his or her heart?

Great spiritual leaders throughout the ages, such as John Wesley, developed questions that were asked of other Christians on a regular basis to keep a person's walk with God healthy and growing. Identify 1 or 2 questions you'd think it would be preventative for Christ-followers to be asked on a regular basis.
