IWU-National & Global is excited to announce a new doctoral program in business administration with a specialization in data analytics. This advanced degree prepares students for acceleration in the careers of business education, consulting, and business leadership where data analytics is a core skillset. This doctoral program requires 60 credits which can be finished in as little as 36 months. The weekly estimated time commitment is 15-20 hours. Students learn with an online cohort in a remote setting, except for an annual residency, held during a Thursday afternoon to a Saturday noon for an in-person experience when students meet with professors and learn alongside peers.
Entering the program requires a master’s degree in a business discipline. This IWU program efficiently builds on their own MS and MBA programs. IWU students completing the MS and MBA programs with Data Analytics specialization can use 12 credits of advanced standing toward the doctoral program. This means credit crossover from IWU DTAN master’s courses. Another exciting component is the practical Applied Doctoral Project (ADP). Instead of a dissertation, students complete an ADP. Each student receives a Research Chair at the start of the program to help understand and implement the ADP. In the end, students create new knowledge for application in the global workplace.
There is a growing demand for Data Analysts who process advanced problem-solving and consulting skills. IWU’s DBA program is designed so that students demonstrate advanced, doctoral-level skilled data analysis by leveraging existing skills and knowledge learned at the master’s level. This is an ideal degree for students desiring to be data practitioner, rather than data scientists.
The DBA in Data Analytics is fit for those looking to pivot their career into data or marketing analytics, as a consultant, or as a professor. Careers in data analytics generate an average annual income of $100K+ in jobs like Chief Data Officer, Business Analyst, Marketing Analytics, or Consultant. A new career, or advancement in a current field of work, will be a direct result of this DBA and the development of evidence-based consulting skills.
Add “doctor” to your name and accelerate your career as a data analyst and consultant with rewarding jobs opportunities. Develop the skills to solve complex, ill-defined organizational and industry problems through advanced skills in data analytics. Do it all through IWU’s doctoral program in business administration with specialization in data analytics.
