IWU-National & Global is honored to announce its selection as one of Newsweek’s Best Online Learning Schools.
For the first time, Newsweek and Statista collaborated to release their top selections for online colleges and universities for 2022. Out of the 182 institutions recognized in these rankings, IWU-National & Global placed 37th.
“This recognition comes at a pivotal point in IWU’s history,” said Eileen Hulme, IWU-National & Global chancellor. “In many ways we are in a season of transition – new leadership, a presidential search and a competitive higher education market. What is most impressive to me about this organization is our commitment to our students. Our people are diligent and genuinely care for them. This distinction from Newsweek and Statista is a welcome affirmation to the work we’re doing.”
Over the past two years, IWU-National & Global has introduced more than 20 new programs. From aviation to military-friendly degrees that allow military students to use their experience as academic credits, each new program was strategically selected and designed to meet specific needs for students.
Beyond its expansive program offerings, IWU also offers multiple start dates a year, the ability to drop and add courses around students’ busy schedules, and a variety of other services. For example, SpiritCare is a unique department to IWU-National & Global that exists to support students through prayer, encouragement and initial counseling.
“We believe what we’re doing is lifechanging. A degree can change the trajectory of someone’s life by empowering them individually as well as granting them the credentials to pursue their career goals,” Hulme said. “In an evolving education industry, we’re always striving to innovate and upgrade what we’re doing to better meet our students’ needs.”
Under Hulme’s leadership, individuals from across IWU-National & Global are working in designated areas including alumni relations, technology, student support, and more to ideate what is next for the organization.
“We’re thankful to Newsweek and Statista for this recognition as one of the best online learning schools – what an encouraging way to dive into everything 2022 holds.” Hulme said.
