Indiana Wesleyan University-National and Global is pleased to announce that the Associate of Science in Public Service and Management program will now include an additional track for first responders. This will allow students to use the training and experience they obtained as first responders to count for college credit, helping them receive their associate degree faster and at a more affordable cost.
This 60-credit-hour program allows students to take one class over five weeks, permitting students with busy schedules more time and flexibility. You will learn how to lead and manage people and organizations in various industries, understanding the impact of globalization on economics, politics, and national security.
The target student for this track is a first responder. This student will develop skills in communication, managing people, and critical thinking. Our Christ-centered program will also integrate Christian perspectives and the student’s personal faith experience.
The Associate of Science in Public Service and Management will give a foundation for students wanting to pursue a bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, and business that have first responder training. This degree will equip students with the skills necessary to pursue a variety of management positions in the following fields:
- Police and Sheriff Patrol Officers
- Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics
- First-line Supervisors of Correctional Officers
Applicants for this program must be either military or first responder students. The program has multiple start dates throughout the year. Learn more about the start dates and admissions criteria by visiting indwes.edu/ASPSM.
