DeVoe School of Business at IWU–National and Global is pleased to announce a new major for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
The new major in Information Technology (IT) Management will prepare students to be strategic leaders for IT teams and organizations.
Taught by instructors with relevant experience and expertise, the program is designed to help students get a broad look at the field of IT and gain a solid foundation of business and management principles necessary for leadership. Students will also explore IT service and support with a biblical perspective, applying their faith experiences to the coursework.
“Each of the IT courses contribute to an overall e-Portfolio that can be created and filled up with assignment products from each course,” said Dutch Kendall, Ph.D., associate professor for DeVoe School of Business. “This is a way for the student to display high-quality work and experience or exposure to common IT management situations in the workplace today.”
The program is fully online, can be completed in approximately two years, and includes coursework that helps students build skills for real work scenarios.
Graduates of the MBA (IT Management major) may be interested in roles such as:
- IT Director
- Information Security Manager
- IT Project Manager
- Chief Information Officer (CIO)
- Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
The first start date for the new major in IT Management is April 13, 2021. For more information about the MBA program, visit indwes.edu/MBAITM.
