Indiana Wesleyan University-National & Global is pleased to announce an updated Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership degree.
Specifically designed for students interested in educational leadership positions, the Ed.S. degree serves as a pathway that can lead both to the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and a leadership career in the field of education.
“Until now, School Administration has been the only path to the Ed.S and the doctorate. The Ed.S. in Educational Leadership will open the door wide to all educators who are ready for a top-level degree program, and we are excited to be able to offer this here at Indiana Wesleyan University,” Nathan Lowe, department chair for the School of Educational Leadership, said.
Through this online program, students will become equipped to apply the most effective models of leadership to the educational environment. They will learn how to:
- Spur organizational change and communicate to a diverse audience
- Leverage research, theories and practices to create strategic, culturally-responsive plans
- Integrate faith and practice integrity, fairness, and ethical decision-making
- Be an effective collaborator, team-builder and mediator
Graduates of the Ed.S. program could consider a career as a special education director, ELL director, technology director, director of instruction and curriculum, and more.
The next start date for the Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree program is January 5, 2021. For more information, visit indwes.edu/EDSEL.
