Tutor.com, one of the world’s largest online tutoring services, will now be available to students at IWU–National and Global.
Tutor.com provides 24/7 access to tutors online in more than 200 subjects. Through partnerships with hundreds of colleges, universities and K-12 school districts, Tutor.com provides more than 3,000 vetted and qualified tutors. The resource offers access to drop-off writing review, English as a second language (ESL) support specialists, study tools, APA formatting help, and more.
“We are so honored to add Indiana Wesleyan University’s National and Global program to our list of clients," said Sandi White, vice president and general manager for Tutor.com institutional programs. "We have been fortunate to serve many of the nation’s online pioneering institutions, and Indiana Wesleyan is certainly one of the leading members educating a worldwide audience every day. Now the university's students will benefit from 24/7 access to expert academic support in more than 200 courses."
With this new partnership, IWU's faculty members can access a dashboard that provides immediate data on all tutoring session activity. They also receive notifications about students who may be struggling in their courses and actionable data they can use to assist students.
"Tutor.com is a natural fit, as their administrators and tutors seem to match IWU's pedagogical approach and philosophies regarding valuing the student, adding the human touch, and innovating to meet student needs,” Kim Herrington, IWU–National and Global’s student support resource manager, said.
Tutor.com became available to students on July 1, 2020. Students can access the resource through the learning tools button inside each of their courses.
