Indiana Wesleyan University is pleased to announce the addition of an accelerated program taking students from their Associate to a Master’s of Science in Management degree in approximately 27 months.
“There are not many Associate to Master degree programs in business offered in the United States,” Dedra Daehn, director of curriculum and operations in the DeVoe school of Business, said. “Many programs that are set up in this manner are geared for the healthcare industry. This is a unique opportunity for students that have completed an Associate degree but want a faster pathway to complete a Masters.”
This program builds on the work that the DeVoe School of Business already offers. Now, students can jumpstart their career through an Associate to MBA or Masters in Management degree. Both programs have been specifically designed to accommodate community college graduates, military students, and individuals who are already working and are looking to advance their career in a short amount of time.
Unlike other IWU programs, this program also does not require several liberal arts and general education courses that are traditionally required in a Bachelor’s degree program.
“The student is able to complete their general education requirements in the associate degree which enables them to focus specifically on business topics that are applicable for advancing them in their career,” Daehn said.
Through this program, students will be exposed to management, business, economics, communication, finance, and information technology courses, integrating multiple subjects for a well-rounded student experience.
The Associate to Masters in Management program is set to launch in Jan. 2020. For more information visit www.indwes.edu/adult-graduate/programs/as-ms-management/.
