Indiana Wesleyan University is partnering with Hope House Marion to host the Voices of Recovery festival in Marion on Saturday, Sept. 21. The festival will be held from noon-PM in downtown Marion at 100 S Washington St.
The festival will be an opportunity for those who have fought addiction tell their stories to raise awareness for mental health and drug addiction services. Funds raised will benefit the Hope House being built in Marion. The festival will offer a recovery walk, food trucks, testimonials, live music, worship, face painting, and activities for all ages.
IWU’s student-led Student Government Association (SGA) will partner with Hope House to organize the Voices of Recovery event, where several students will have craft booths.
“IWU SGA is excited to partner with Hope House and engage with our community at Voices of Recovery this Saturday,” said Lainie Holland, SGA Vice President. “Please join us for a music festival, great food, vendors, craft booths, testimonials, and lots of fun and fellowship.”
IWU’s Division of Graduate Counseling will have a booth offering information on Graduate Counseling programs, as well as National & Global information for Bachelor in Addictions Counseling, General Studies, and Psychology, and a Masters in Social Work.
IWU’s Graduate Counseling programs include Addictions, Clinical Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy, School Counseling, Student Development, Community Care and the Certificate programs. The Division of Graduate Counseling at Indiana Wesleyan University is dedicated to training and mentoring high quality professionals to competently work within their area of specialization, with culturally diverse populations and with an integrated understanding of Christian faith in professional practice.
