Indiana Wesleyan University will grant diplomas to its residential and non-residential students in two separate ceremonies on Saturday, Aug. 10.
The university will confer 1,274 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees. Bishop Linwood Dillard, Jr. is scheduled to speak to graduates at both commencement ceremonies.
Dillard is the founding pastor of the Citadel of Deliverance Church of God in Christ, one of the fastest-growing churches and rapidly emerging gospel choirs in Memphis, Tennessee. Since the age of 15, Bishop Dillard has committed his life to the service of others. Through his ministries countless souls have been saved, sick bodies healed, and lives changed. His ministry transcends social, racial, economic and denominational barriers.
The schedule for the Aug. 10 commencement ceremonies, which take place in Chapel Auditorium, 4201 S. Washington St., Marion, is:
- 10 a.m. — IWU-Marion undergraduate and National & Global Campus associate and bachelor’s degree candidates, excluding Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Social Work.
- 2 p.m. — IWU-Marion graduate and National & Global Campus BSN, BSW, graduate and doctorate degrees, and Wesley Seminary degrees.
Tickets are not required for either ceremony. Additionally, the ceremonies will be streamed live at https://www.indwes.edu/events/commencement/webcast. The webcast begins 15 minutes before the start of the first ceremony.
