“Jorgen’s grade on the CPA exam is a testament to his passion and pursuit of excellence in becoming a CPA,” said Professor of Business Kent Williams, CPA, CGMA. “CPA’s are considered the most trusted business advisors. Words cannot describe the joy seeing our graduates recognized for passing the CPA exam and becoming one of those trusted advisors."
IWU’s accounting program combines rigorous course work with practical experience to prepare students for their future careers. As part of their coursework, students must complete an internship, or take an international business course. IWU’s accounting program offers students the opportunity to complete an internship by working full-time in public accounting or in industry earning up to 15 hours of college credit.
“IWU’s accounting program helped prepare me for the CPA exam by asking me to solve a wide variety of accounting problems and complete challenging courses,” said Reimer. “The sheer amount of material covered in the classes was intimidating, but my professors were always helpful with answering questions and explaining concepts thoroughly.”
Reimer graduated from IWU in 2017 with degrees in Accounting, Economics and Honors Humanities. He is now employed at Kruggel Lawton CPAs as a staff accountant.
