Indiana Wesleyan University will present its spring edition of Friday Night Live (FNL), a bi-annual student-run comedy show, at 8:45 p.m. on Friday, March 22. The show will take place in the Chapel Auditorium.
FNL has been an IWU tradition for nearly 25 years. The goal of the show is to provide a break from stress to not only students, but also the faculty and surrounding Marion community. The cast finds meaning in fighting a war on stress by laughing about life through cleverly written sketches and silly videos.
This semester, the volunteer cast includes 12 students in addition to many other students who work behind the scenes on lighting, technology, videography, graphic design and more. With more than five sketches in this semester’s show, the cast began rehearsing at the end of January.
“A lot of cast members are graduating, so we plan to go out with a bang,” said Producer Hunter George, a senior studying Media Communication. “We’re trying some experimental stuff, which will be fun for everyone involved. FNL is really special to us, and we’re going to give the audience everything they deserve for our last show.”
Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased online. To purchase tickets, visit www.indwes.edu/events/onstage/events.
