Indiana Wesleyan University English and Writing major, Kailey Warner, has been selected to present an original creative work at the Sigma Tau Delta 2019 International Convention on March 27-30. The convention will take place in St. Louis, Missouri.
Warner’s work, titled “The Whole Me is More Than,” is a collection of short memoirs that muses on the process of redemption and self-discovery. She will present her writing on Saturday, March 30.
Sigma Tau Delta is an international English honors society, of which Warner is a member. The convention’s theme this year is “Work in Progress” and will feature more than 600 presenters from nearly 300 universities across the world. Presented works will include original critical essays, creative non-fictions, poetry collections and original prose.
“Kailey is a dedicated student and brilliant scholar, which makes her an absolute joy to have in class,” said Dr. Robberta Henson, professor of English. “Because of this, I was not surprised to learn that her paper had been accepted for presentation at the National Sigma Tau Delta conference. I feel certain I can speak for all of Kailey’s English and Writing faculty when I say that we are so proud of her and are confident she will represent MLL and IWU well.”
After graduating from IWU in 2020, Warner hopes to publish a children’s novel.
