Indiana Wesleyan University’s Exercise Science program recently announced that its overall graduate school acceptance rate for the past 10 years sits at an impressive 93.5 percent.
IWU Exercise Science students have gone on to enroll in a variety of programs, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, and physician assistant/nurse practitioner. From there, students enter careers as exercise physiologists, fitness trainers, cardiac rehabilitation clinicians, chiropractors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, community health workers and more.

The Exercise Science program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Students gain knowledge about exercise, nutrition and related topics while also experiencing hands-on activities to prepare them for their future professions.
“I think one of the distinctive pieces of our Exercise Science program is the inclusion of a senior research project,” said Dr. Aly Williams, assistant dean, School of Physical and Applied Sciences. “Engaging students in the research process helps them to learn valuable skills that translate well to graduate studies.”
