Indiana Wesleyan University will confer nearly 1,300 degrees on Saturday, August 11 in two ceremonies in the Chapel Auditorium on the main campus in Marion, Indiana. The 10 a.m. ceremony will confer IWU-Marion undergraduate degrees and IWU-National & Global associate and bachelor degrees (excluding BSN - Bachelor of Science in Nursing and BSW - Bachelor of Science in Social Work). The 2 p.m. ceremony will confer IWU-Marion graduate degrees, IWU-National & Global BSN and BSW degrees, and IWU-National & Global graduate and doctoral degrees.
The commencement speaker at both ceremonies will be Santiago Jaramillo, founder and CEO of Emplify, a privately held company located in Indianapolis. Through the leadership of Jaramillo and his employee engagement experts, Emplify strives to improve the lives of one million people through equipping employers to achieve engaging work environments for their employees. Jaramillo graduated from IWU in 2012 as valedictorian with a double major in Business Administration and Marketing.
Graduates will include the first students from the following programs: Master of Science in Nursing with a major of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, Master of Divinity Online in Spanish and Master of Arts with a major in Ministry - Pastoral Ministries.
