Admissions counselors from Indiana Wesleyan University will be attending the Midwest Homeschool Convention on April 12-14 in Cincinnati, Ohio, for the purpose of connecting with home-schooled students who are interested in furthering their education at IWU.
The convention, which seeks to equip parents with the tools necessary to successfully home-school their children, will showcase dozens of knowledgeable speakers, workshops, special events and a large curriculum exhibit hall with hundreds of vendors. IWU admissions counselors will be stationed at a dedicated booth in the exhibit hall to interact with home-schooled students and their parents.
Those who stop by the IWU booth will also be able to learn about two unique programs that IWU offers:
- Wildcat Academy Dual Credit Classes offer high school students the opportunity to earn college credit before ever stepping foot on a college campus. These online or onsite courses are fully accredited and transferable.
- Summer Academy Camps offer a variety of weeklong enrichment camps, including Art Camp, Music Camp, Nursing Camp and Writing Camp. For a full list of camps, visit www.indwes.edu/summer-academy/.
The exhibit hall is open from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
“We are looking forward to engaging the ever-growing home-school population!” said Katy Smith, assistant director of admissions at IWU. “And, this is a unique opportunity to connect with them and introduce them to our Wildcat Academy.”
