Indiana Wesleyan University’s Marion campus will be hosting a Transition to Nursing (TTN) informational meeting from 8:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. The chair of the IWU Transition to Nursing program, Veronica Peters, will present an overview of the accelerated second-degree nursing program. An opportunity to tour on-campus housing and state-of-the-art nursing facilities will be available.
The Transition to Nursing program is designed for those who want to become a nurse and currently hold a bachelor’s degree in another field from an accredited institution. The accelerated 63-credit-hour program offers students the opportunity to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in approximately 14 months. For greater flexibility, IWU offers two different start dates during the year— one in January and the other in June.
“The TTN program provides students the opportunity to study and learn alongside others who have diverse academic and employment experiences,” said Peters. “Students learn provision of nursing care in multiple clinical settings, addressing clients’ physical, spiritual, developmental, cultural and social needs.”
The informational meeting will take place in the Barnes Student Center and Room 553 in the Ott Hall of Sciences and Nursing. Family members are welcome to attend.
