IWU sponsors America’s Best Hope conference

Indiana Wesleyan University is sponsoring the fifth annual America’s Best Hope: Building Godly Leaders conference that will be held on Nov. 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Northview Church in Carmel, Indiana. IWU will be hosting a free simulcast of the event at College Wesleyan Church in Marion, Indiana. America’s Best Hope conference is produced by Truth@Work and seeks to cultivate godly leaders in the marketplace who desire to make a difference in the world.

“This is the perfect event to bring your team, to bring your employees, to learn about biblical leadership principles in business,” said Ray Hilbert, co-founder of Truth@Work.

The leadership event will feature inspiring industry CEOs, relevant entertainment figures and thought leaders from around the country. This year’s speakers include Kirk Perry, president of Brand Solutions at Google; Anne Graham Lotz, president of AnGel Ministries; Phil Vischer, founder and CEO of Jellyfish Labs, creator of Veggie Tales; Dee Ann Turner, vice president of Enterprise Social Responsibility at Chick-fil-A; and many more.

“IWU is sponsoring this event, making the conference free because it is wanting to invest in our community,” said Rick Carder, director of Alumni and Church Engagement. “I have attended several of these events and find that the content is not only inspiring, but also the speakers stretch my leadership strengths.”

A breakout lunch session featuring Dr. Justin Henegar, director of Research and Scholarship for the Ron Blue Institute for Financial Planning, will be held at the IWU-Marion simulcast location. The session will be offered at no extra cost. Henegar has worked in the financial services field for over 12 years. He was previously with Merrill Lynch where he was chief operating officer of a large team managing over $500 million in assets under management. Henegar’s research consists of evaluating how Christians think, feel and behave around money.

The simulcast event is free of charge, with the option to purchase a $10 lunch. Click here to register or to find more information.
