Adults wishing to further their education now have one less hurdle to overcome. As of July 1, 2014, Indiana Wesleyan University has eliminated the application fee for their online Adult Education Programs.
IWU has been offering innovative programs for adults since 1985. Initially available in Marion, Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Indiana, IWU education centers now exist in all major cities in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky, as well as online. Over 10,000 adult students are currently enrolled at IWU. Of those 10,000, over 7,000 study online, enabling many adults who work full or part-time or have other obligations to successfully complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees.
"IWU is committed to helping adult students obtain the degrees that are needed by a modern workforce," says Audrey Hahn, Chancellor, IWU - National and Global. "Eliminating the barrier of an application fee encourages adults to take the first step toward earning a degree."
Adults can complete an associate degree, finish a bachelor's degree, prepare for special education licensure, enter the world of higher learning with a master's degree, pursue a doctoral degree, or earn one of many certificates through IWU's Adult Education Programs geared specifically for busy lifestyles. By eliminating the application fee, IWU is making the pursuit of higher education one small step easier.
A well-respected evangelical Christian university, IWU is committed to providing a comprehensive, liberal arts education. The University's continued recognition of the shifting demands of students and employers is one of the reasons it continues to lead the way in higher education. Indiana Wesleyan University stands ready to equip generations of learners with skills they need to meet the challenges of our rapidly changing world.
