The Indiana Wesleyan University School of Educational Leadership announces the Master of Education in Teacher Leadership as the newest addition to its advanced degree programs.

"An advanced degree for P-12 educators, the M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership provides a core curriculum focusing on teacher leadership and offers the flexibility to connect this core to a self-selected and specialized content area of study," said Dr. Brad Oliver, associate dean. "The specializations feature an 18-credit hour course of study and are intended to assist teachers whose states require a concentrated program of study to obtain additional, specialized content area teaching licenses."

The M.Ed. specializations include coursework in Exceptional Learners (or Special Education), High Ability Education, Curriculum and Instruction, English Language Learners Education and Principal Leadership. Students who complete the M.Ed. with specializations in Exceptional Learners-Mild Intervention, High Ability, or English Language Learners or Principal Leadership meet the REPA requirements for additional licensure in Indiana.

The M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership is a 33-credit hour program that can be completed in as few as 24 months, online and onsite hybrid. Specializations may be taken separately for the purpose of fulfilling state requirements associated with licensure.

Additional degrees offered in the School of Educational Leadership are Transition to Teaching, Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Credentialing, Teacher Certificates, principal Licensure Program, Educational Specialist and Teacher License Renewal.
