Community members are invited to attend Indiana Wesleyan University's Concert for a Cause to benefit local food pantries. The even will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Chapel Auditorium on IWU's residential campus in Marion. The pre-rally will begin at 7:15 p.m., with the rally starting at 8 p.m.
Attendees will enjoy performances by Shonlock and Everyday Sunday, as well as a time of worship with the Brandon Grissom Band. Speakers for the night include Darren Whitehead, a teaching pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago, and special guest Sharon Irving, a spoken-word poet.
Admission is $5 or five non-perishable food items. Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting the IWU Box Office at 765-677-2610 or by visiting iTickets.com. Tickets will also be available at the door. All proceeds will be donated to food pantries in Grant County.
The Friday Night Rally is a student-run outreach event and part of the annual Fusion Youth Conference hosted on the IWU campus for high school students.
