Education continually evolves. The 21st century provides new tools and environments for teaching and learning. How do people learn with these new tools? What components contribute to the optimal learning environment? This year's theme encourages educators to explore breaking boundaries and limits with teaching and learning in the 21st century.
The Midwest Scholars Conference provides a collaborative environment where professors and teachers can share their Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research and classroom experiences.
The demands of education are increasing for both academics and teachers -- scholarship, teaching, and service. The Midwest Scholars Conference offers an avenue for professors and teachers to disseminate their research and teaching experiences on teaching and learning (SoTL). Attendees can expect to be exposed to new research-based teaching techniques and hear about others' classroom experiences. Specifically, the conference focuses on helping increase student learning through evaluating and improving one's own teaching.
