Award amounts: Determined annually by the State
Filing deadline: Must file the FAFSA by October 1 of the appropriate award year
Application process: Must have a valid year-appropriate FAFSA on file
Eligibility requirements: Students must be Ohio residents in an undergraduate program who show financial need and are eligible for federal student financial aid
Renewal requirements: File the next award year FAFSA by the appropriate deadline
EFC eligibility requirements: Determined annually by the State
Enrollment requirements: Eligible students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours between July 1 and December 31 (fall term) and/or January 1 and June 30 (spring term)
Grade-level eligibility: Available to undergraduate students seeking their first undergraduate degree
Special rules: Only courses taken at a site located within Ohio or online courses taken as part of one of the approved programs may count toward the credit-hour requirement.
