Students observe flowers in the Alliance Gardens

Experience a week-in-the-life at our campus farm featuring berries, vegetables, herbs, flowers and honey bees. Using our two-acre diversified urban farm there will be opportunities to gain experience in plant propagation, soil and water testing and insect identification. Daily assist in the harvest and learn to prepare and preserve foods from the variety of crops.

  • Make products from plants including plant-based dyes, butter and soap.
  • Enjoy field trips to Matter Park, local communities’ gardens and a farmers’ market.
  • End the week with by sharing a delicious farm-to-table lunch prepared using foods harvested from the garden at our outdoor Alliance Garden Classroom.

Event Information

WHO

  • High school students (anyone entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade as well as those graduating 12th grade).

WHEN

  • June 19-24, 2022
  • Check-in is on Sunday 2-4 pm
  • Friday at 1 pm, families are invited back to a “Week in Review”. Each camp will showcase their accomplishments. Campers will be dismissed following their program.

REGISTRATION

Total Registration Cost: $425

  • Base Cost: $375
  • Registration Fee (non-refundable): $50

Cost includes resident hall lodging, three meals a day, snacks, and all major aspects of the camp. Our dining hall has many options for those with food allergies. However, we encourage you to bring appropriate snacks since not all snack options will meet all dietary needs.


Note: The $50 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration. No student will be considered registered until they have submitted this fee. Balance of tuition and fees are due by May 31, 2022. Any registrations after June 1, 2022 will incur an additional $50 late registration fee.

*Campers will have access to athletic/gym equipment (including a rock-climbing wall). If you would like to use this equipment, please bring the proper attire.

Please do NOT bring the following:

Laptops, iPads and other electronic devices*. Weapons of any kind: e.g. firearms, knives or pocket knives.

*Cell phones are welcome, but please note they should be silent and out of sight when campers are in rehearsals, class, lessons, etc.
