The Indiana Wesleyan University School of Nursing is excited to present a summer nursing camp experience. By immersing yourself in the career of nursing, you will be able to consider whether or not this field is one that inspires you and to which you are called. The IWU nursing program is top-rated. You will have hands-on, interactive opportunities through field trips, hands-on skills development, simulations, CPR and first aid training. You will also hear from guest speakers who are leaders in the nursing field.

As a high school student considering a career in nursing, you will be exposed to numerous areas: transcultural, geriatric, maternal/child, surgery and more. Come and explore, consider, pray and have a good time!

When you complete the nursing camp at IWU, you will….

  • be certified in CPR,
  • have an introductory knowledge of basic nursing skills,
  • have been introduced to a variety of nursing scenarios,
  • have an awareness of different fields in nursing,
  • have been exposed to cultural aspects of nursing,
  • understand how faith integrates with the practice of nursing, and
  • be able to build on foundational values related to your potential calling in nursing.
