Flourish
"Flourishing" Welcomes Keynote Dr. Gary Moon
Welcome to our second conference on clergy wellness: Flourishing in Pastoral Ministry. This conference is targeted toward caregivers of clergy to foster overall, holistic clergy well being.

The conference will be held at Indiana Wesleyan University on September 19. We are privileged to have Dr. Gary Moon provide the keynote address. Gary W. Moon, Ph.D. is the Executive Director of the Martin Institute for Christianity and Culture and the Dallas Willard Center for Christian Spiritual Formation at Westmont College. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Renovaré International Institute for Christian Spiritual Formation and as Editor-in-Chief of the Conversations Journal. He conducts research concerning the theoretical and practical integration of psychology and theology and has published and presented over 300 professional and popular papers.
This interdisciplinary conference is a rare and significant opportunity to call together scholars and leaders from a variety of fields across the church to explore the best practices, systems, and supports for clergy health and well-being. Our hope is to make a significant, lasting contribution to the overall effectiveness of clergy caregivers.
Given the challenges that clergy face in all stages of their ministry career, in churches large and small, and situated in a wide array of social contexts, our intent is to explore emerging research and present best insights into helping clergy flourish for a lifetime in ministry.
We of Indiana Wesleyan University's Graduate School are grateful for our partnership with the Division of Education and Clergy Development of The Wesleyan Church, the IWU School of Theology and Ministry, and the IWU Division of Graduate Counseling as well as Wesley Seminary at IWU in making this conference possible.
