McConn Coffee Co.
Operations
- Plexiglas added around the coffee bar.
- Removal of self-serve coffee area.
- No personal drinks allowed in preparation areas, office/work rooms, or storage.
- All surfaces cleaned before shift transition.
- Hours of operation modified to allow for additional cleaning and closing procedures.
Café
- Couches removed from café area.
- Seating transitioned to half capacity to allow for social distancing.
- Crema events will not be held indoors.
- Creamer bar and tea station removed (such items distributed by baristas).
Offices
- Limit use of shared computers.
- Shared equipment must be cleaned and sanitized after each use.
- UIT will add programs to personal computers to help reduce shared electronics.
- Sunroom used as a multiple purpose room when necessary for McConn staff.
Employees
- Facial coverings mandatory for all employees.
- Each employee provided with 1 reusable face mask at beginning of the semester. Cleaning face masks is the responsibility of the employee.
- Disposable face masks kept on hand for employees in limited quantities.
- Mandatory temperature checks upon arrival.
- Employees must wash their hands for 30 seconds before/after their shift.
- Staff meetings will take place via Zoom (some exceptions may apply when social distancing is possible).
Baldwin Dining Hall, Wildcat Express, Chick Fil-A, Mario’s and Wilbur’s Wild Wings
Social distancing markers on the floor throughout Baldwin Dining Hall and in the areaswhere students and guests line up to enter.
Reduced number of tables and chairs in the dining area and set up with only 4-top and 6-top tables with 50% capacity at each table.
Signage placed on tables asking guests not to move tables/chairs and to socially distance.
Food Service staff will manage the number of guests entering Baldwin throughout the meal periods, ensuring maximum capacity is not exceeded. When seating in Baldwin reaches capacity, students have option for takeout meal.
If a student receives a takeout meal, they will not be allowed back into Baldwin for additional takeout meals.
All food items are served by Food Service staff. Only drink station is self-serve.
All service ware (plates, bowls, cutlery, trays) held behind serving lines for Food Service Team to provide to each guest to limit exposure.
All dining areas will be monitored, cleaned and sanitized throughout each meal period.
All Food Service staff will wear facial covering and change service gloves frequently.
All patrons must wear facial coverings except when eating/drinking.
Campus Store
The IWU Campus Store is open to the public during regular business hours.Cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces takes place throughout the day.
Employees undergo health screenings on a daily basis.
Employees are required to wear facial covering when servicing customers and gloves when conducting cash or credit transactions.
Transactions are limited to one register, which is wiped down after each transaction.
Apple pay is available to minimize cross contamination.
Signage is displayed at the entrance of the store requiring the use of facial coverings.
Stickers are on the floor at the entrance of the store and at the counter for social distancing.
Stanchions are placed as needed to assist with the flow of traffic in/out of the store.
The store will operate at a maximum capacity of 20 people.
All procedures related to opening are subject to change as IWU and Tree of Life continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and the recommendations of State and Local officials.
