An individual with a Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited nursing program may apply to complete a post master's degree certificate in any of the graduate nursing majors.

Students applying for a post master's certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner must have 500 hours of advanced practice direct care for patients in the year prior to admission.

The following plans of study apply only if a student has a master's degree in nursing and wishes to complete the certificate in a different major.

  • Primary Care Nursing Post-Master’s Certificate (Family)
  • Nursing Education Post-Master’s Certificate
  • Nursing Administration Post-Master’s Certificate

To be admitted to a post master's degree certificate program, the student must have a Master's degree in Nursing, and meet all graduate nursing admission requirements.
