Overview of the Online MS Technology/Digital Literacy Program

Deepen your technical knowledge of hardware and software within a biblical worldview.

Our Master of Science in Technology/Digital Literacy in Education is designed for computer or technology educators who wish to become qualified to instruct advanced placement, dual enrollment, or early college courses, as well as deepen their understanding of technology, digital literacy, and advanced educational classroom practice. This program gives students a broader view of the field, deepened technical knowledge in related hardware and software, and a better understanding of ethical digital practices.

Upon graduation, you will be prepared to meet the needs of diverse learners, devise sustainable technology integrations, and engage in systemic and creative problem-solving – all within a biblical worldview. Courses are designed to equip students with methods and materials they need to deepen their teaching ability and help their own students learn. This program builds in ideas for culturally responsive teaching, ethics and faith, and research and technology tools. IWU’s student-centric approach also provides:

  • 100% online courses with faith integration and reflection
  • Access to live and recorded interactive webinar discussions
  • 1:1 consulting and support for learning and integrating course material

Note: Candidates must already be credentialed for teaching technology and digital literacy in P-12 schools and/or community colleges, as this degree will not lead to initial or advanced state licensure in those areas.
