If you’re fascinated by what motivates people or you love trying to understand human relationships, the fully online Master of Arts in Psychology can help you cultivate a life abundant with meaning and purpose—and help other people build richer lives as well.

With specializations in Life Coaching and Positive Psychology and Industrial and Organizational Psychology, you’ll develop into a competent and ethical professional that approaches psychology through the lens of your faith. This program prepares you for work in a variety of professional settings, whether you have a limited background in psychology or you hold an undergraduate degree in the field. You’ll also be able to pursue and implement your personal research interests.

  • You’ll be prepared for a variety of professional settings, including life coaching, government, business, non-profits, industrial organizational psychology, and ministry. Although this program is not intended to qualify you for independent practice as a licensed professional counselor or psychologist, it can help you clarify your interest in professional psychology and/or begin working toward doctoral studies.

Your tuition rate will remain the same as long as you remain continuously enrolled in the same program. REQUIREMENTS

  • A baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), verified on official transcripts sent by the institution directly to Indiana Wesleyan University.
  • The bachelor's degree may be in any field and there are no pre-requisite courses that must be completed prior to starting the program.
  • An undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher from the baccalaureate degree granting institution at which at least a minimum of 30 hours was completed.
  • Two recommendations from individuals familiar with the applicant's academic and professional competencies. Recent college graduates should have at least one academic recommendation.
  • Applicants who have been out of college more than three years should submit professional recommendations.

  • Completion of the 30-credit-hour course of studies with an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and a minimum grade of "C" in all IWU graduate work. A grade of "C-" or below will require the course to be repeated.
  • Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
