Overview

Deepen your impact and advance your mathematics teaching skills within a biblical worldview.

Our Graduate Certificate in Mathematics is a series of six three-hour graduate courses designed for those seeking the credentials required to teach collegiate courses; it can be completed in approximately 12 months. Upon completion of this certificate, you’ll have a broad understanding of the field of mathematics, along with stronger mathematical communication and analysis skills.

Courses are designed to equip students with methods and materials they need to deepen their mathematics teaching ability and help their own students learn. This program builds in ideas for culturally responsive teaching, ethics and faith, and research and technology tools. IWU’s student-centric approach also provides:

  • 100% online courses with faith integration and reflection
  • Access to live and recorded interactive webinar discussions
  • 1:1 consulting and support for learning and integrating course material

Note: Candidates must already be credentialed for teaching mathematics in P-12 schools and/or community colleges, as this certificate will not lead to initial or advanced state licensure in those areas.
