Overview of the Online Operations Management Program

Manufacturing technology is at the forefront of innovative development in industries like transportation, healthcare, construction, and aerospace. The Advanced Manufacturing Processes Specialization provides focused instruction on manufacturing processes, project management, production management, critical thinking, problem solving, advanced manufacturing techniques, and process safety. Learners who complete this program will be prepared to work in a variety of manufacturing positions.

The successful completion of this specialization qualifies learners for a Certificate of Applied Technical Related Studies from Bay Institute of Science and Engineering (BISE), which can also be applied toward the Department of Labor Journeyperson certification.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proof of standard high school diploma or GED certification.
  • Submission of all required items for the admissions process as outlined in the "application procedures" section of the application packet.

  • Completion of 60 hours.
  • Completion of foundational, major, general education, and specialization requirements as outlined in the program of study.
  • Completion of 24 hours in the major with a minimum GPA of 2.0. To meet the residency requirement 15 semester hours must be completed at IWU.
  • Completion of 33 hours in the major with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Fifteen hours must be completed at IWU.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.

No more than 75% of therequierements for an IWU undergraduate degree or certificate and no more than 50% of the coursework in the major may be satisfied by transfer.
