Overview of the Associate in Integrative Studies Program

Do you need a program that allows you to build on your existing experiences and move forward toward your educational goals? The Associate of Science degree with a major in Integrative Studies is a customizable degree providing you the freedom to create your own path of study based on career goals, unique passions, and life calling. The program is designed to develop your ability to integrate learning across courses, over time, and between academic and life experiences.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Illustrate connections between life experiences and fields of study.
  • Describe connections between examples, facts, or theories from more than one field of study or perspective.
  • Explain problems or issues by applying acquired skills and knowledge to new situations.
  • Communicate in oral, written, or visual ways that explicitly connect content and form with an awareness of purpose and audience.
  • Evaluate changes in one's own learning over time to envision a future self.
  • Integrate Christian faith, ethics, and character with knowledge and skills from fields of study and the liberal arts.

The total cost of the program, including tuition, books, eBooks, and fees, will be determined prior to your enrollment. The cost will be divided into several payments spread over the course of the program. Course textbooks will be shipped to you before each course begins. The cost of books increases for shipments outside of the 48 contiguous United States.

The total credit hours and per-credit-hour costs listed above are effective for the core program. For prerequisite or other required courses if applicable, students will need to pay for appropriate tuition, books, and any additional fees. Costs may change if you withdraw from the program and restart in a future program at a later date.

Admission Requirements

  • Proof of standard high school diploma or GED certification.

Graduation Requirements

  • Successful completion of 60 credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. At least 15 credit hours must be earned at Indiana Wesleyan University. 
  • Included within the total of 60 credit hours, 6 credit hours in the Integrative Studies Core
  • Included within the total of 60 credit hours, 30 credit hours in the General Education Core
  • Included within the total of 60 credit hours, 15 credit hours in a concentration, with at least a 2.0 GPA. At least 9 of the 15 credit hours must be completed at IWU.
  • An additional 9 credit hours of elective courses are added for a total of 60 credit hours.
  • Payment of all tuition and fees.
