Do you have your sights set on a career in law enforcement and corrections? The Criminal Justice Certificate from IWU will provide you with foundational knowledge of the American criminal justice system, preparing you to further your education and distinguish yourself in your field.
This certificate also serves students wishing to gain a better understanding of the criminal justice system in order to advance their careers in social services, security management, many types of compassionate ministries, and more. The program provides an overview of criminology, criminal justice, and the psychology of personality, along with a specific emphasis on alcohol and drug education and corrections. Applicable fees for resources and services will be assessed throughout the program. Tuition and fees for prerequisites and required elective courses are in addition to the charges shown on the program cost sheet. Your tuition rate will remain the same as long as you remain continuously enrolled in the same program. - Accepted as a regular degree seeking student or as an unclassified student
- Unclassified student requires proof of high school graduation

Completion Requirements
- 15 credit hours from the selected courses in the specified certificate area
- Nine of the credits must be earned at IWU for degree seeking students
- Minimum grade of "C" in each course
