Whether you're visiting for graduation, homecoming, or a program residency, there are a few iconic IWU sites you don't want to miss (especially in the spring!). We've put together a list of our favorite spots on the grounds for relaxing views, coffee breaks, and graduation photos for students across the decades.
THE SIDEWALK ARCH
Loved as one of the most historical landmarks on campus, the sidewalk arch is located on the edge of campus along South Washington street.
THE PRAYER CHAPEL
Located between Jackson Library and Noggle Hall, the Williams Prayer Chapel serves as a timeless testament to our Christ-centered academic community. It is simple and true to our history. Constructed in 2001 and sponsored by long time professors Wilbur and Ardelia Williams, the small chapel represents many before us who have dedicated their lives to prayer and service. We hope you can make a stop to see its towering steeple and beautiful stained glass windows during your time on campus.
THE CHAPEL FLOWER BED

Positioned right between the Performing Arts Center and the Chapel Auditorium, this flower bed has served as a memorable backdrop for thousands of celebratory graduation photos over recent years. Be sure to stop by, grab your loved ones, and smile for a picture while you visit campus.
THE FOUNTAIN
The fountain, located between the Barnes Student Center and Jackson Library, is a favorite outdoor destination of students, faculty, and families alike. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape and centered at the heart of campus, the fountain is a great spot to enjoy the sun and good weather. The fountain represents IWU’s commitment to leadership, scholarship, and character. In spring, the blooming trees and flowers nearby signal the beginning of a new season and the commencement of newly graduated students.
McCONN COFFEE CO.
While you’re here, be sure to stop by McConn Coffee Co. located in the west end of the Barnes Student Center. Since 1996, McConn has served graduates, students, and visitors just like you. McConn offers a unique perspective of campus life by being completely owned, managed, and staffed by IWU students. Treat yourself to a sweet beverage, sit and chat, and enjoy the buzz of the student center.
