This is your first step toward making your dreams come true for your future. Whether it's to advance your current career, start a new career path, or simply continue that lifelong love of learning, Indiana Wesleyan University is the place for you.
Official transcripts are required from all universities and/or colleges attended which must show the baccalaureate degree conferred and any graduate coursework completed. Indiana Wesleyan University will accept for its permanent file only those transcripts sent in a sealed envelope directly to IWU by the registrar of the attended institution(s). Official transcripts must exhibit the official seal and signature of the registrar. Transcripts that are stamped "student copy," "issued to student," or "unofficial" cannot be accepted as official.
College Transcripts from Non-U.S. Schools
For college transcripts from non-U.S. schools, secure a "Course-by-Course Report" from Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or World Education Services (WES). Be sure to request that the report be sent directly to us at the address below. The evaluation must list course-by-course hours and grades.
A GRE examination will be required if a student has a GPA below 3.0. A GRE score on the new revised GRE of 146 on the verbal and 146 on the quantitative sections is recommended. GRE exams taken prior to August 1, 2011, a minimum score of 1000 on the combined verbal and quantitative sections, with a verbal score of at least 400 and quantitative score of at least is recommended.
Two professional recommendations are required. At least one of the references must be from an athletic training practitioner and a previous faculty member who can speak to your capacity to successfully complete graduate level work. You must use the forms that are provided.
Please provide a 500 to 750 word double-spaced, typewritten document explaining your interest in the profession, what you hope to achieve by completing the program, and how your personal or professional background relates to your interests or goals. The essay's content and the clarity of writing will be assessed as part of the admissions process.
Other aspects of an applicant's record, such as educational achievement, professional experience and clarity of career goals should be reflected in a resume. Generally admissions decisions are based on an overall assessment of the adequacy of an applicant's preparation and desire for the successful completion of a graduate course of study in Athletic Training.
Submit a copy of your TOEFL scores if English is not your primary language. For more information about this test, visit www.toefl.org or a copy of your ELTS score.
