Graduate PLUS Federal Direct Loan

Type of aid:	Federal loan that must be repaid. Interest is charged at a fixed rate of 7.54% for the 2022-2023 award year.
Award amounts:	Students may borrow up to the full Cost of Attendance minus all other aid
Application process:	Must have completed a Direct PLUS Loan Application and credit check, Graduate PLUS Master Promissory Note, Entrance Counseling session for graduate or professional students, valid year-appropriate FAFSA, and all associated paperwork to complete your financial aid file. Apply on the Federal Student Aid website.
Eligibility requirements:	Must be a graduate student. The borrower must be determined credit-worthy by the lender, and the loan amount must fit within the estimated Cost of Attendance minus other aid.
Repayment:	The loan enters repayment once it has been fully disbursed, but payment will be deferred until six months after the last date of half-time enrollment
Renewal requirements:	All application items, except for the Entrance Counseling session and Graduate PLUS Master Promissory Note, must be completed annually.

Enrollment requirements:	Half-time or more enrollment is required
Grade-level eligibility:	All graduate degree programs
