Tuition and fees for prerequisites and required elective courses are in addition to the charges shown on the program cost sheet. Your tuition rate will remain the same as long as you remain continuously enrolled in the same program. Prerequisites to ACC-311: IWU courses ACC-201 and ACC-202 or transfer of their equivalent with a grade of “C” or higher.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proof of high school graduation or GED certification.
  • Original transcripts from all previous college or university study at a college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Prior completion of at least 60 transferable credit hours is required before the student is eligible to start a bachelor core program.
  • Evidence of knowledge equivalent to one semester of coursework in mathematics or statistics by meeting one of the following options:
    • Transferring in a mathematics or statistics course from another institution.
    • Taking a mathematics or statistics course from Indiana Wesleyan University.

  • Completion of 120 semester hours.
  • Completion of the required core courses with a GPA of 2.25 or higher.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Completion of 30 hours of general education requirements as specified.
  • Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.

Prerequisites

Students in this program are required to demonstrate proficiency in the area of accounting prior to taking ACC-311 (Intermediate Financial Accounting and Reporting I) by meeting one of the following options:

  1. Successfully completing the IWU courses ACC-201 (Accounting Principles I) and ACC-202 (Accounting Principles II).
  2. Transferring in the equivalent of ACC-201 and ACC-202 with a grade of “C” or higher.
  • ACC-201 and ACC-202 may be waived if prerequisite requirements have been satisfied as outlined in the Indiana Wesleyan University APS Catalog.
