Entry Deadline  NOVEMBER 9, 2020

Our veterans have made great sacrifices in service to our country that have changed their lives forever. This dedication to protecting our home and our freedom should be remembered and honored, which is why we have created the IWU–National & Global Veteran Recognition Scholarship. This $1,000 scholarship is designed to recognize one special veteran on Veterans Day and can be applied toward any eligible academic program at IWU–National & Global.*

If you are a veteran who would like to win a $1000 scholarship to be applied toward a IWU-National & Global program or if you know a veteran who should be recognized with this $1,000 scholarship, take this opportunity to enter to win.

Here’s how it works:
    1. Fill out the form below by November 9. Be sure to include a short 150-word response about why you or your veteran should receive this award. Your submission will be reviewed by a panel. On Veterans Day (November 11), one veteran will be selected to win and notified.
    2. Join us on Facebook Live! The winner will be publicly announced during our special live event on Facebook on November 12, 2020, at 7:00pm ET: “Not Alone: Recognizing & Appreciating Our Veterans and Understanding Their Needs and Concerns.” The veteran or an appointed representative must be present to win.

*Some restrictions may occur for this promotion to apply. The $1,000 scholarship promotion is only open to new students that have served or are serving in the US military. This scholarship will be applied towards outstanding IWU tuition and fees not covered by outside sources and thus could carry over from one term to another. The scholarship does not apply to students enrolled in School of Health Sciences (except MPH), Nurse Practitioner, Doctoral, IWU Marion Residential campus, or Graduate Counseling programs. The scholarship will be credited to their IWU student account after successful enrollment in an IWU – National and Global eligible program of their choice. Alternative methods of the $1,000 award’s distribution do not apply. The student must be enrolled in a class with a start date no later than August 31, 2021. The award will be forfeited if the student permanently withdraws before earning at least one passing grade in the initial term in which the scholarship was applied.

No purchase is necessary to enter. Odds of winning are based solely on the number of entries received during the promotional period. A winner will be selected by a committee based off the entries submitted. The winner will be selected on November 11, 2020 and announced on November 12, 2020.
