Founded in 1920, Indiana Wesleyan University has become the largest private university in the state of Indiana. Our graduates tell us they chose IWU because of how our courses flex around their work schedules, and the extra student services we provide at no cost that help them attend college while working and raising a family.

IWU is a Christian liberal arts university. You can expect caring faculty and staff members, and ethical topics in your coursework will be addressed from a Christian perspective. U.S. News & World Report has rated Indiana Wesleyan University as "one of the best Master's universities in the Midwest."

IWU understands that its thousands of adult students prefer to earn their degrees quickly and conveniently in their home communities.

Classroom-Based or Online

If you chose to take courses in a classroom setting, you will have class one night per week, the same night of the week for all courses. All classes meet from 6 to 10 p.m. in the same classroom for your entire program. If you choose the online method of learning, you will never need to travel to an IWU Education Center or learning site to attend a class.

Tuition & Financial Aid

An education at Indiana Wesleyan University is affordable! We hold our tuition rates low compared to other online and private universities. As a not-for-profit Christian school, we are dedicated to providing an outstanding education at a reasonable price. Once you enroll, your tuition rate, material costs, and fees will freeze, guaranteeing that your total cost will not increase during your program. You are billed one course at a time as you take them, so you can create a budget and a personal payment plan. If your employer assists you with your tuition payments, you do not even need to pay for a course before you take it. We will give your employer time to reimburse you after you receive your grade before you pay for the course.

Our Financial Aid staff is ready to assist you in working out the financial details of your program. Our coursework meets Department of Education guidelines, and based upon your income level, you may be eligible for state and federal grants. You may also qualify for loans, scholarships, veteran's benefits, and other options.

Free Student Services

Library orientation is provided to students in one of their first classes at IWU. Our Off-Campus Library Services offers reference research and document delivery services, giving students access to all collections of the Jackson Library on the IWU main campus, as well as Instructional Resource Center services, Interlibrary Loan services, and many e-books and online journals.

As students interact with our online learning platform, our Online Support Team is available to correct any problems. When students have questions and problems, we are dedicated to getting them back to the business of learning as quickly as possible.

IWU provides students with free access to the APA Style Central resource. This helpful tool is useful when formatting formal papers into APA style.

A variety of tutorials and tools are available to provide students with individual learning assistance -- resources include Grammarly and tutor.com. Whether you need help with math, writing, or any other subject matter a free resource is available to our students.

When students enroll at IWU, they are automatically registered for all courses in their B.S. degree program, so students will never need to register for a class again.
