Dr. Jeffrey Tabone serves as Director of Programs & Student Formation and an Assistant Professor of Humanities.
With over ten years of experience in Christian higher education, Dr. Tabone has developed a strong track record as a student affairs professional, instructor, and scholar of faith and learning. Whether contributing to university-wide collaborations, implementing student engagement initiatives, or addressing the individual needs of a student, he strives to be a holistic thinker and bridge-builder across campus. Dr. Tabone's scholarly interests focus on the intersection of faith and learning, especially within the context of core and general education curricula at Christian colleges and universities. He also pursues research on the integration of spiritual formation practices into classroom instruction.
Having experienced firsthand as a student, student-affairs professional, and educator, just how impactful Christian liberal learning can be for intellectual and spiritual development, Jeff is an enthusiastic advocate for the JWHC mission and grateful for the opportunities he has to support and learn alongside such great students. He sees the JWHC learning community as an ideal environment for students to be holistically formed as inquisitive and thoughtful Christians.
Jeff and his wife, Anna, have two children, Noelle and Nathan. In addition to spending time with his family, Jeff enjoys outdoor recreation through backpacking, paddling, and triathlons.
