Alexandria Eikelboom

Lexi Eikelboom specializes in constructive and philosophical theology, with a particular interest in the arts and aesthetics. She is particularly concerned with unearthing the theological significance of rhythm, drawing on the work of a diversity of philosophers and theologians from Augustine to the present. A monograph on the subject in which she argues for rhythm as integral to Christian doctrine, tentatively titled Rhythm: A Theological Analysis, has been accepted for publication with Oxford University Press.
Lexi, originally from Canada and having grown up in The Netherlands, graduated with a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies from The Canadian Mennonite University. She earned her MSt. in 2012 in Christian Ethics and her DPhil in 2016 in Modern Doctrine, both from the University of Oxford.
When she is not researching, Lexi enjoys spending time with her husband Paul, painting, and visiting art galleries and museums.
