I currently serve as Assistant Professor for graduate nursing in the family nurse practitioner program. I practice as a board-certified family nurse practitioner with Community Health Network. My clinical practice occurs in both the urgent care setting and in primary care at employer-based health centers such as the Indiana Standardbred Association.

I have been married to my husband Steve for 25 years. We met at IWU as students. We have three daughters and currently reside in Richmond, IN where he currently serves as executive pastor at Fountain City Wesleyan Church.

I previously taught pediatric nursing, pathophysiology, physical assessment lab, and women's health and wellness for undergraduate nursing at IWU.  After earning my doctoral degree, I returned to teach in graduate nursing.

FNP experience includes pediatrics, neurology specializing in multiple sclerosis (MS), administering Botox to treat spasticity in MS, administering ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy for patients with varicose vein disease, retail clinic practice, and practice in the urgent care & employer-based health clinic settings.

My doctoral project focused on asthma education in the urgent care setting.

Research interests include asthma, ADHD, MS, and management of exercise-induced iron deficiency in student athletes
