BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Rosanne Thomas is Chair and Associate Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in the School of Health Sciences at Indiana Wesleyan University. 

She received a BS in PT and an advanced MS in neurological physical therapy from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School as well as a PhD in neuroscience, providing a basic science understanding to neurological PT interventions. 

As both a neuroscientist and a physical therapist, Dr. Thomas is uniquely qualified as an educator and a clinician. She is an experienced educator in the areas of Neuroscience, Clinical Management and Neurological Therapeutic Skills.  Prior to her acceptance of the challenge of developing IWU’s DPT Program, she was a dedicated and experienced faculty member and associate dean of research at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science for 18 years and the DPT Program Chair at Mount St Joseph University in Cincinnati OH for 6 years. Her research publication record is in student outcomes with several publications in Physical Therapy Education best practice.
